Charitable Donors Visit The Base

23 Feb 17

New Medical Bags

We have recently replaced the four medical bags which carry all our casualty care equipment and the bags used to carry our Oxygen and Extonox gases. All the bags are specially designed to hold our equipment and to keep it as dry and clean as possible.

The bags were purchased using a number of donations including a generous £2000 from the Golden Giveaway which is organised by the Middlesbrough and Teesside Philanthropic Foundation.

Staff from Viral Effects in Middlesbrough visited our Base to look at the equipment they helped to fund through the Golden Giveaway.

They also had the opportunity to find out about the work we do and to look at the vehicles and equipment we have to support our search and rescue operations.

Local Engineering Firm’s Donation

13 Feb 17

On Friday Feb 10th our Water Officer collected a cheque for £250 from Axiom Engineering at Stockton.
The company had collected for charity instead of giving christmas cards and arranged a day when the four charities could get together for a photo opportunity.
As a charity we are reliant on such donations in order to be able to provide our life saving service helping those lost or injured in wild and remote places.

Generous donations

15 Dec 16

Following on the heels of the generosity of the good folks in Northallerton at the beginning of December we have received a huge £1250 from Hardmoors Ltd.
Hardmoors Ltd ask runners to donate to the two mountain rescue teams (Scarborough and Ryedale MRT and Cleveland MRT) every time they enter a race.
A cheque for Cleveland’s share of the last year’s donations was presented today at Guisborough Sea Cadets during Roseberry Topping Trail marathon.
Thank you Hardmoors for supporting the Mountain Rescue Teams that are ready to support you should you ever need us.

And there is more good news to come…

Team Dog Handlers Say Thank You

08 Aug 13

£500 Donation

The teams search dog and trainee search dogs have been given a donation this week from a local gun dog club. The North Yorkshire Gundog Training Group formed last year and work from Carlton Bank on a Tuesday evening. The group decided to collect their weekly subscription and at the end of the year they would be donated to a local charity. We were asked if our teams dogs would be willing to accept the very kind donation of £500 and of course we were more than happy to accept this very kind and very rare donation made direct to the teams dogs.
The money will be used to purchase two Simoco 9170 gps tracking radios. These radios will enable our search managers to be able to track our search dogs on the hill during training and searches.
It is very rare that dog handlers receive money donated directly to be used on specific items of equipment. This donation has been very gratefully received and will be put to very good use. We went along on Tuesday night to collect the donation and say a great big thank to the Gundog club.

If you can support the team or the search dogs in anyway then please contact us at fundraisers@clevelandmrt.org.uk

Thank you all for your continued support

The Cleveland Show

28 Jul 13

The team would like to say a massive thank you to everybody who came along and supported us at the Cleveland Show yesterday. We ran a pick a stick, a raffle for one of our special edition team bears and sold lots of merchandise. We managed to raise £472. Without the general public continued support we would not be able to raise the required funds to keep the team running.

Thank you all so much
