MONDAY 20 JULY (0040 HRS)
In the early hours of Monday morning, the team were contacted by North Yorkshire Police to assist in the search for a despondent person, in the Newby area, south of Middlesbrough.
The team searched field and plantation areas to north and west of Newby, with the police searching areas around Brass Castle Lane. Along with searchers on foot, the team deployed the drone for its first operational use. The drone performed a thermal search of a large open area.
At 0345, the team were stood down by the Police with the person not located.
