Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team is a voluntary organisation that relies completely on the good will of the public and on our volunteers buying their own kit.
We receive no central funding, no local agency funding, but we do enjoy fabulous support from Sytner Mercedes-Benz of Teesside, other sponsorship would be very welcome.
Our main financial commitments currently relate to insurance, maintenance of team vehicle and our team base, the equipment used on incidents and to fund training of our members.
Items such as medical kit, uniforms, rescue items are all either bought by team members or donated.
Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team have an Amazon Wish List if you would like to donate equipment directly to the team. Any donations will be used to support the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team carry out their search and rescue activities for the people in Cleveland and North Yorkshire.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.Join Now
