Tuesday 01 Sept (1455hrs)
North Yorkshire Police contacted the team to provide assistance to a male who had a medical incident to the east of Square Corner. The team deployed both Land Rovers and personnel in their own vehicles to Square Corner. From there, personnel were transferred in 4 x 4 vehicles to Dale Head approximately 2 km away. They then walked the 0.4km with the required medical kit and equipment to the casualty location.
At the site , the casualty was assessed by the team medics. Once he was treated, he was loaded onto the stretcher and wheeled to the Land Rovers at Dale Head. He was taken out of the stretcher and loaded ,sitting, into one of the Land Rovers for the transfer of approximately 1.4km to the waiting ambulance at the end of the track.
We wish the casualty a speedy recovery and thanks to the walking colleagues who assisted him.

What an amazing team! We had to call out the Cleveland Mountain Rescue..... They responded quickly + kept one member of our walking team warm & safe. They put up a big shelter, so all of our friends, kept warm too. Felt so humble and safe. We are so lucky to have such great emergency service..... We can roam our beautiful Yorkshire Moors, in the knowledge....we can ask for help and rescue, when needed. Dankeschön x

It was our walking group that you came to the rescue for. We would like to thank you a million times over for your very prompt, friendly and professional response.
