Sunday 17th September. We were again attending the Ardmoor mountain bike event along with our colleagues from Scarborough Teammon a very wet and muddy Carlton Bank.At around 0930hrs we were asked to go to the aid of a marshal who had collapsed with a suspected epileptic fit on a route 5 or 6 miles from Carlton Bank. After some confusion as to where the man was, we arrived at the incident location to find that the marshal had been taken by car to our control vehicle where he was treated by members of Scarborough Team.
As Yesterday we dealt with a number of “walking wounded, cleaning and dressing wounds before the riders were directed in the direction of James Cook Hospital for treatment.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain with more forecast, today's event at Redcar Racing has been cancelled so we will not be there! Statement from the racecourse:
Unfortunately today’s Easter Monday race meeting has been abandoned.
We are bitterly disappointed that racing is not able to go ahead but there is little that can be done given the amount of recent rainfall this morning.
All pre-paid tickets will automatically be refunded, there is no need to contact the racecourse office.
