Join the team

Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.

Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

CALL-OUT 16/2024
MONDAY 6TH MAY 2024 (2228 HOURS)

We were contacted by Cleveland Police last night to assist them in a search for a high-risk missing person; the requirement being for us to search an area of woodland south of Carlin How.

Team members were called out and directed to an RV-point, taking with them our two Land Rovers and the Incident Control Vehicle. Having agreed a search plan with officers at the scene we were just about to commence the search when the missing person was located safe & well by Police officers outside of the search area. We stood-down and had returned to our Base and homes by about 0200 hours.

Twenty-two members were involved for approximately 2.5-hours.

Many thanks to search dog handlers from Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England (North-East) who were on standby to attend.
