INCIDENT 1/2025 (CALL-OUT No. 1)
SATURDAY 11TH JANUARY 2025 (1120 HOURS)
Contacted by North Yorkshire Police for our first call-out of the year, after concerns were raised that a dog and/or owner may be in distress or in need of assistance in the Percy Cross Rigg area, a few miles east of Great Ayton.
We deployed two Land Rover crews. Having checked various locations and speaking to a number of walkers we stood down with nothing untoward coming to light. Many thanks to a walker for informing the Police in the first place. It is very icy on the Moors so please take care if out and about and make sure someone knows your plans.
Nine Team members were directly involved for just under 2.5-hours with another ten on standby if needed.
Myself and my wife were out in the same area.. having witnessed the heroes at work.
