MREW ROPE RESCUE COURSE
This weekend 2 of our Technical Rescue team attended the second part of the Rope Rescue Operator Instructor Course at Lyon (Tebay) which culminated in an assessed piece of instruction to the other candidates. Techniques covered included, equalising multiple anchors, mechanical advantage (pulleys), snatch rescue, horizontal and vertical stretcher rescue with 1 and 2 attendants and difficult edge transition. We now have 2 Instructors certified to deliver in-house training and the 3 year expiry is a core part of our approach to regular CPD to stay informed on current best practice.
