The Spring 2024 edition of Mountain Rescue magazine is now available online via this link (external site). As usual, it is packed full of features and lots of useful information – a great read even if you are not involved with MR. Cleveland MRT feature as follows:
p6 – Party Leaders Course which two of our members attended
p28 – an article about the call-out to rescue Julian Norton the Yorkshire Vet that we reported on a few weeks ago
p31 – a visit to our Base from Nunthorpe & Marton Knitters following a donation they made
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain with more forecast, today's event at Redcar Racing has been cancelled so we will not be there! Statement from the racecourse:
Unfortunately today’s Easter Monday race meeting has been abandoned.
We are bitterly disappointed that racing is not able to go ahead but there is little that can be done given the amount of recent rainfall this morning.
All pre-paid tickets will automatically be refunded, there is no need to contact the racecourse office.
