Two members from Cleveland MRT and others from our neighbouring team Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team have been assisting at the The Malton Forest Rally today by staffing the entry gates to two of the spectator car parking areas (one for each MR Team) as part of a fundraising initiative. We were stationed on a forest track near Stape, north of Pickering.
Many thanks to Malton Motor Club for the invitation and to everyone for all donations. (We subsequently received a donation of £1,000 from the Club – that’s fantastic – huge thanks to them).

Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain with more forecast, today's event at Redcar Racing has been cancelled so we will not be there! Statement from the racecourse:
Unfortunately today’s Easter Monday race meeting has been abandoned.
We are bitterly disappointed that racing is not able to go ahead but there is little that can be done given the amount of recent rainfall this morning.
All pre-paid tickets will automatically be refunded, there is no need to contact the racecourse office.
