Team members were out on Sunday 23rd April 2023 supporting Esk Valley Fell Club with the Gisborough Moors fell race, part of the Dave Parry LETS RUN Winter Fell Race Series 2022/23. The run distance was 20Km with an ascent of 850m.
Many, many thanks to the organisers and entrants for the very generous donation of a £1,000 cheque before the start of the race and well done to everyone involved. 158 runners took part with the first one completing the distance in about 86-minutes! All runners made the cut-off time and all made it back safely without needing our help.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain with more forecast, today's event at Redcar Racing has been cancelled so we will not be there! Statement from the racecourse:
Unfortunately today’s Easter Monday race meeting has been abandoned.
We are bitterly disappointed that racing is not able to go ahead but there is little that can be done given the amount of recent rainfall this morning.
All pre-paid tickets will automatically be refunded, there is no need to contact the racecourse office.
