Year-end report!

As we reach the end of 2022 it’s time to reflect on what we have accomplished at Cleveland MRT during the year.

We’ve dealt with 61 call-outs plus 22 other incidents (e.g. being on standby or assisting with other calls for service). In doing so, our volunteer members have together contributed over 3,300 hours of their own time and that doesn’t include weekly training, weekend practice sessions and lots of behind the scenes work. Nor does it take into account many hundreds of hours contributed by our Support members when fundraising or supporting the team in a whole host of unseen but vital ways. Many thanks to them all!

And a particular ‘thank you’ to everyone who has donated money, bought Team merchandise or contributed in other ways. And to the many business and organisations that have helped to fund our charity. They are too numerous to list here but hopefully we’ve thanked you all during the year!

A special note of appreciation to our colleagues in the Police, Ambulance, Air Ambulance, Coastguard and RNLI and to our neighbouring MR colleagues in the region for their help and support. Finally, from everyone at Cleveland MRT – a Happy (and safe!) New Year to you all!

Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.

Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
