MONDAY 5TH JUNE 2023
The Team was called by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to go to the aid of a woman who had fallen and injured an ankle in Newton Wood below Roseberry Topping.
A number of Team members attended, together with a YAS paramedic. The casualty was soon located and subsequently helped into one of our Team Land Rovers and driven to a waiting ambulance for treatment. Seventeen Team members were initially involved although some were stood down en route once the casualty had been assessed. The incident lasted just over one-hour.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain with more forecast, today's event at Redcar Racing has been cancelled so we will not be there! Statement from the racecourse:
Unfortunately today’s Easter Monday race meeting has been abandoned.
We are bitterly disappointed that racing is not able to go ahead but there is little that can be done given the amount of recent rainfall this morning.
All pre-paid tickets will automatically be refunded, there is no need to contact the racecourse office.
