Cleveland MRT’s safety protocols, prioritise being proactive to potential risks, ensuring effective safeguarding measures are in place to keep people safe and secure.

To provide Mountain Rescue Services in our region.

By training and retaining our members, with appropriate resources and funds.

In order to save lives, providing confidence to the public.

We need:

CSF 1 – Sufficient members with every skill-set to cover every call-out.

CSF 2 – Effective and efficient governance, better managing workload of members’ roles [and of Committee members, Leads, and Deputies], by effective I.T. with simple access.

CSF 3 – A robust financial and fund-raising plan to facilitate resource replacement.

CSF 4 – A plan for resource maintenance and replacement, including vehicle and equipment replacement, and assessing new opportunities.

CSF 5 – An inclusive collaborative culture that integrates all team members.

CSF 6 – Strengthened profile relationships with other agencies. 

Join the team

Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.

Applications for either role are advertised when recruitment is required.

Generally, there is an annual intake for Search and Rescue members with the process starting in Feb/March leading to starting as a Prospective member in September.

Intake for Operational Support members occurs less frequently. This process usually starts in Feb/March leading to Probationary member status around June.
