After a gap of two-years (apart from a virtual event) the Whalebones Walk is back for 2022!
The route of this long-standing event starts at the Whalebones in Whitby and follows the Cleveland Way north to Saltburn-by-the-Sea and then onto Marske-by-the-Sea, a distance of 22-miles.
It will take place on Sunday 1st May 2022. Details are yet to be finalised so please keep checking back here and on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds. Please share widely – as said, details following soon! No registration at the moment.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain with more forecast, today's event at Redcar Racing has been cancelled so we will not be there! Statement from the racecourse:
Unfortunately today’s Easter Monday race meeting has been abandoned.
We are bitterly disappointed that racing is not able to go ahead but there is little that can be done given the amount of recent rainfall this morning.
All pre-paid tickets will automatically be refunded, there is no need to contact the racecourse office.
