Redcar Running Club recently held their Christmas Presentation Evening during which they raised £170 for Cleveland MRT.
The running club have supported various organisations and charities in this way for several years and decided that we should be one of the beneficiaries this year. Many thanks to the club committee and all the members who donated. As we head towards the start of another year we’re already planning ahead for how to fund our voluntary work in 2023 and it is donations such as this that add up to make real difference. So thanks once again to everyone at Redcar Running Club and good luck for your 2023 season!
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

If you’ve been braving the elements these last few days then you will be ideally placed to enter next year’s Cleveland Survival. Entries are now open for the event which takes place on 29th March 2025.
It could be dry or wet, warm or cold - or all of them on the same day. Who knows? One thing to be certain of, is that it will be a rewarding experience and great fun. If you’ve done the Survival before then it’s time to enter again. If you’re a ‘newbie’ then please consider giving it a go - you won’t be disappointed!

The Survival is open to runners and walkers based on an orienteering course, with a route of around 20 miles, to be completed within the time limit.
