The Summer 2024 edition of Mountain Rescue magazine is now available online and includes articles on the forthcoming Mountain Rescue conference which will include inputs from Cleveland MRT members Jenny Hall and Dan Scoular (pages 4 – 7).
There’s also a separate article by Dan (on page 31) plus a feature on our Technical Rope Rescue training at Peak Scar (on page 55).
As ever, the magazine is packed with lots of very informative and interesting articles about mountain rescue work in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. It can be accessed via this link (opens to external site).
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Keen supporter of the Team, Ian Rowan, is fast approaching his latest fundraiser for us - the Thames Path Ultra Challenge, on 14th September 2024.
Last year Ian Rowan raised over £2,500 for the Team (including match-funding from his employer’s Johnson Matthey) by running the London Marathon. This time he has set himself an even bigger challenge - running the 100-Km Thames Path Ultra.
