A crew from ITV Tyne-Tees News visited the Base to talk to us about our work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Peter Smith, our Deputy Team Leader, was interviewed and spoke about the need for people to ‘stay home’ during the current lockdown and the potential adverse impact on the emergency services if people didn’t stick to the rules.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Over the years Leven Crafts and their customers in Guisborough have been staunch supporters of Cleveland MRT and their latest fundraiser is ideally timed in the run up to Christmas.
Starting on 30th November, they will be holding a charity sale of handmade quilts and shop samples to raise funds for us and the Great North Air Ambulance.
