A short video showing what took place during the Cleveland Survival based in Knayton, North Yorkshire and held on Saturday 18th March 2023 is now on our YouTube site (opens to external site). The Survival is organised annually as a fundraiser for Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team. It is open to runners and walkers and is based on an orienteering course, normally with two route options but this year there was just a single mid-range route of approximately 18-miles – some people went a longer route!
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
