THURSDAY 29TH JULY 2021 (1238 HOURS)
We were contacted by North Yorkshire Police to assist them with a search for a high-risk missing person who was possibly in the area of Newgate Bank a few miles north of Helmsley.
Team members were contacted with some going to our Base to collect two Land Rovers and our Incident Control vehicle. However, just as they were leaving the Base (and with other Team members en route from their homes and workplaces) the Police advised us that the person had been found safe and well so we could stand-down.
Eight Team members were involved for just over 30-minutes.

Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
