FRIDAY 23rd Feb (1655hrs)
The team were contacted by Cleveland Police to provide assistance to a person who was on an all terrain mobility scooter which had broken ,leaving the person stranded on a track in the vicinity of Hutton village. The team despatched two crewed Land Rovers to the scene. On scene, the person with their dog were loaded into a Land Rover and transported to Hutton village where they were collected by family/friend. The person was uninjured.
A limited deployment involved 9 team members with others on standby for approximately 2.5 hours.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
