Rescue – Greenhow Bank

CALL-OUT No. 11

FRIDAY 21ST MARCH (1430 hours)

The team were contacted by Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to provide assistance to a person suffering from a medical condition on The Cleveland Way above Greenhow Bank, approximately 2.5 miles from Bank Foot farm.

A number of members were in the vicinity and headed to Bank Foot farm. Other members headed either to the base to collect the vehicles or were despatched from their current locations.

On arrive at the farm , a vehicle was despatched to the casualty location with 2 paramedics on board. By this time the person, with assistance from others in the group, had been transferred back to the mini bus and was heading towards top of Turkey Nab.

When the two vehicles met, the patient was assessed by the paramedics then transferred in a Land Rover down to Bank Foot Farm to the road ambulance.

The other vehicle guided the mini bus to the most accessible tarmac road at Baysdale Top.

We wish the person a speedy recovery.

Eight team members were on scene, one coordinating remotely and others on “hold position”
