We were contacted by Cleveland Police around 16.15 to assist them with a search for a local man missing since yesterday from Stillington village to the North West of Stockton on Tees.
Approx 16 Team members responded along with our 2 Land Rovers and our mobile control vehicle. Team members commenced searching areas of possible sightings near the village of Whitton supported by a Mountain Rescue search dog and handler.
In another positive search outcome the man returned safely to his home address near to our RV point at 18.30
Many thanks to our neighbouring Tees and Weardale and Swaledale MR Teams who were on standby ready to deploy if the search needed to continue.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain with more forecast, today's event at Redcar Racing has been cancelled so we will not be there! Statement from the racecourse:
Unfortunately today’s Easter Monday race meeting has been abandoned.
We are bitterly disappointed that racing is not able to go ahead but there is little that can be done given the amount of recent rainfall this morning.
All pre-paid tickets will automatically be refunded, there is no need to contact the racecourse office.
