A 61 year old walker from the Farnham area had slipped and hurt her shoulder whilst walking on the Cleveland Way path near Clay Bank.
The injured lady was quickly located and treated at the scene by paramedics and our team doctor before being carried on our specialised mountain rescue stretcher to an ambulance waiting at the carpark.
15 team members were involved for 90 minutes.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.Join Now
