Sunday January 5th 2100 hours.
We were alerted by North Yorkshire Police after staff at at Botton Village, a community supporting people with learning and other disabilities near Castleton, reported two of the residents missing. A team member who lives near to Botton Village was asked to liaise and the Team put on standby.
We stood down a short while later when the missing people were accounted for.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain with more forecast, today's event at Redcar Racing has been cancelled so we will not be there! Statement from the racecourse:
Unfortunately today’s Easter Monday race meeting has been abandoned.
We are bitterly disappointed that racing is not able to go ahead but there is little that can be done given the amount of recent rainfall this morning.
All pre-paid tickets will automatically be refunded, there is no need to contact the racecourse office.
