MONDAY 26TH JUNE 2023 (2116 HOURS)
Called out by the North East Ambulance Service to go to the aid of a cyclist who had reportedly suffered a serious leg injury on Eston Nab. Both of our Land Rovers and a number of Team members were dispatched from various locations. However, approximately 30-minutes later we were stood down by NEAS as they had located the casualty so we were no longer required.
Twenty-four Team members were en route at the time of the stand-down. Total time involved approximately 1-hour including travel time back to homes and our Base.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.Join Now
