Ambulance Assist in Errington Woods

Wednesday 01 Apr (1030hrs)

The team were contacted by North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) to provide assistance with the extraction of a person who had fallen from a horse in Errington Woods, New Marske. The team deployed both Land Rovers ,along with other team members to a RV point at Errington Woods. One Land Rover proceeded into the woods to the casualty site. The other vehicle remained on the road due to the narrow slippery track the other vehicle was taking.

At the casualty site the person was treated by the paramedics and loaded into the vacuum mattress and casualty bag on the mountain rescue stretcher. The team then transferred the casualty on foot to the waiting ambulance.

We wish the casualty our best wishes and a speedy recovery

16 team members were involved for approximately 2 hours
