Tuesday 6th October 2020. We were contacted by Cleveland Police in the early hours with a request to search land surrounding Roseberry Topping for a man reportedly missing in the area. Team members were called out from home and one of our Land Rover Ambulances was deployed. Once at the RV-point our search parties, together with the Police, then commenced searches of their allocated areas.
At 0642 hours, after being stood-down by the Police, our Team members were able to return home. Cleveland Police enquiries to trace the man are continuing. 17 Team members were involved in the incident which lasted approximately 4.75 hours.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain with more forecast, today's event at Redcar Racing has been cancelled so we will not be there! Statement from the racecourse:
Unfortunately today’s Easter Monday race meeting has been abandoned.
We are bitterly disappointed that racing is not able to go ahead but there is little that can be done given the amount of recent rainfall this morning.
All pre-paid tickets will automatically be refunded, there is no need to contact the racecourse office.
