Whalebones 2026 – Save the date

Walk or run 22 miles along the picturesque coastal route from the iconic Whitby Whalebones to Marske.

Coach transport will be available to take you from Errington primary school to the Whitby Whalebones start point. Alternatively, you can make your own way to the start and meet us there.

Full route details and start times will be provided in the following weeks. Cleveland Mountain Rescue team members will be walking the route on the day and monitoring checkpoints along the way.

Refreshments will be available at the finish but you will need to ensure you carry sufficient food and water with you for the walk. You will pass many cafes and maybe the odd ice cream van!

Children are welcome to walk but please ensure they are able to complete the full distance or you have made arrangements for them to be collected if unable to reach the finish.

Dogs are also welcome, but must be kept on leads. Unfortunately dogs are not permitted to travel on the coaches.

Proceeds and sponsorship in aid of Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team. £10 standard entry or £15 entry including coach transfer.
