The Team’s annual Cleveland Survival took place on Saturday 16th March 2024 and after what seemed like an endless run of grey, rainy days the competitors were welcomed to the event base at Scaling Dam Sailing Club on a glorious sunny morning. Fortunately the weather held for most of the day before turning a bit cloudier and cool with a touch of rain towards the late afternoon finish.
There are a few photos from the event below. Apologies that we didn’t take more but for the second year running our plans were a little derailed by a call-out in the afternoon – in fact two call-outs this time!

Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain with more forecast, today's event at Redcar Racing has been cancelled so we will not be there! Statement from the racecourse:
Unfortunately today’s Easter Monday race meeting has been abandoned.
We are bitterly disappointed that racing is not able to go ahead but there is little that can be done given the amount of recent rainfall this morning.
All pre-paid tickets will automatically be refunded, there is no need to contact the racecourse office.
