Fresh from his role as one of the key players in the All Kids First initiative our Team Leader, Carl Faulkner, has been ‘wheeling and dealing’ yet again – to the continued benefit of local children.
Just in the last few days Carl secured an agreement from local company HMH Civils Limited who donated £5,000 to buy toys and games from Smyths Toys Superstores on Portrack Lane, Stockton to be given to children from across Redcar and Cleveland.
This morning, staff from their schools were at the store for a ‘trolley dash’ mass purchase. Carl was on hand together with three other Team members (Sarah, Dan and Sarah!) to help select these superb Christmas gifts that will make such a huge difference to many children in our area.
Our thanks again go to HMH Civils Limited for this huge donation and to Smyths Toys for their support. And very well done Carl!
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain with more forecast, today's event at Redcar Racing has been cancelled so we will not be there! Statement from the racecourse:
Unfortunately today’s Easter Monday race meeting has been abandoned.
We are bitterly disappointed that racing is not able to go ahead but there is little that can be done given the amount of recent rainfall this morning.
All pre-paid tickets will automatically be refunded, there is no need to contact the racecourse office.
