Many, many thanks to everyone who donated, bought merchandise or stopped for a chat during our street collection in Northallerton on Saturday 14th December 2024.
The total amount received was a superb £1,574.50 (in donations and merchandise sales). What a fantastic amount, so a very special ‘thank you’ to the people of Northallerton and visitors to the town for your continuing generosity!
Thanks also to our Team members who took part – a great Team effort. As always, there were many positive comments about the work of the Search & Rescue and Operational Support members. And not forgetting the often unseen but vital work of our Support members throughout the year – they provide the backbone of our continuous fundraising events and took part in the collection day.
We have two more Christmas events still to come. On the evening of Monday 23rd December we will be escorting Santa’s Sleigh around Great Ayton (see a previous post for details). Then on Thursday 26th we will be supplying hot drinks to the Boxing Day ‘dippers’ as they emerge from the refreshing waters of the North Sea (more details to follow nearer the time).
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
