Meet the new cast of the The Yorkshire Vet TV series!
Well, that might be stretching things a bit far but a few of us will hopefully be making an appearance on the next programme, when Yorkshire Vet Julian Norton talks about his mountain bike accident in January this year.
A few weeks after the accident Julian visited our Base with a TV crew to thank some of those involved in his rescue and to talk generally about the work of mountain rescue. Julian was very generous with his time and in his praise of MR work. And it has been great to see him back on his bike in the months since then. The programme is scheduled to air on Channel 5 at 8pm on Tuesday 22nd October 2024.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Many thanks again to GrasshoppersYoga for a recent donation of £328. Regular supporters of the Team, they will be braving the elements at 8am on Sunday 22nd December on Redcar beach to celebrate mid-Winter with a gentle 108 Sun Salutation Practice.
