TUESDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER 2024
We were deployed at the request of Cleveland Police to search areas of land around Ormesby Hall and Stewart Park, Middlesbrough for a missing person. With no sign of the missing person we stood down just before 2100 hours. Police enquiries continued.
Many thanks to Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England (North East) for their support in deploying a search dog & handler from Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team.
Twenty-three Cleveland MRT personnel were involved in the search which lasted for approximately 8.5-hours.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
