FRIDAY 13TH SEPTEMBER 2024 (1839 HOURS)
Not long after getting home from call-out 38/2024 we were called out again, this time by North Yorkshire Police, to search for a missing person. Two Team Land Rovers and various personnel deployed from their homes etc.
Soon located via What3Words (and confirmed by the mountain rescue Phone Find system) in the Guisborough Woods area. After being checked over by Team members the missing person was transported in a Team vehicle to be reunited with a family member.
Twenty Cleveland MRT members were involved for approximately 1.5-hours.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Over the years Leven Crafts and their customers in Guisborough have been staunch supporters of Cleveland MRT and their latest fundraiser is ideally timed in the run up to Christmas.
Starting on 30th November, they will be holding a charity sale of handmade quilts and shop samples to raise funds for us and the Great North Air Ambulance.
