SATURDAY 31ST AUGUST 2024
Called out this afternoon by North Yorkshire Police to search for an elderly vulnerable female missing from the Swainby area. Fortunately, whilst we were en route, the Police advised us that she had been found safe and so we stood down.
Many thanks to Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England (North East) for responding promptly to our early enquiry about search dog availability. Thankfully not required.
Twelve Cleveland MRT personnel involved or en route when stood down. Just under 3/4-hour.

Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
