The Cleveland Mountain Rescue 4-Tops is back for 2024 – but with a difference!
This year our event will be a fun filled day out that everyone can enjoy. The walking / running part of the event will start and finish at Guisborough Rugby Club on Saturday 14th September (times to be confirmed).
The route is yet to be finalised but will be appropriate for all age groups and will feature events and activities along the way for everyone to enjoy together or to participate in, as individual or group entrants. We will also have a range of activities at the Rugby Club throughout the day for people to enjoy – maybe ideal for those who unable to or don’t want to walk or run the route?
The theme of the event is that a day out on the hill is accessible to all and can be an enjoyable experience at a low-cost. The entry fee will be just £10 for the walkers and runners – that’s for any number of people up to a maximum of two adults accompanied by up to three children under-16, just to our cover costs. Hopefully, well behaved dogs will be welcome on leads (to be confirmed).
Anyone who just wants to drop in at the Rugby Club activities will be welcome – we’re not yet sure if there will be a nominal fee for that (it depends on the costs of what we can arrange). More information to follow when we’ve finalised the details of the day and the entry process. Watch this space and save the date! A few photos from the last 4-Tops in 2022 below.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
