Whilst we were covering the Ardmoors event at Lordstones last Saturday we had a very welcome visit from members of the Centurions Walking Group. It was the latest stage in their walk along the Cleveland Way, which they are doing in seven sections over the course of the spring and summer to raise funds for Cleveland MRT.
So it was great to see them and an opportunity for some of our members to say ‘thank you’ as the group headed off towards Great Ayton.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
