A very welcome visitor to our stand at Saturday’s Great Ayton fete was Vicky McFarlane who was one of ‘our casualties’ back in June last year. Vicky had fallen and sustained a nasty break to her right leg. As a result she had a metal plate fitted and is still recovering but is able to walk. Being immensely greatful for the work of the Team, Vicky has since raised over £400 by doing football blind cards. She dropped off the donation at the fete (seen here handing it over to Jo, our Support & Fundraising Officer).
Many thanks Vicky – we hope that your recover continues to progress well!
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
