Cleveland MRT members were helping out at the Rotary Club of Redcar Boxing Day Dip this morning. Thankfully we had no injuries to deal with but, as is traditional, we provided hot(ish) drinks to the ‘dippers’ – in fact, there were so many people this year we ran out of hot chocolate towards the end, so apologies if you were one of the few who missed out. Our ‘chef’ has been given instructions to cater for more next year!
Good to work alongside Redcar Coastguard Rescue Team and RNLI Redcar and thanks to all of the other organisations who supported the event.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Over the years Leven Crafts and their customers in Guisborough have been staunch supporters of Cleveland MRT and their latest fundraiser is ideally timed in the run up to Christmas.
Starting on 30th November, they will be holding a charity sale of handmade quilts and shop samples to raise funds for us and the Great North Air Ambulance.
Thanks yet again to Leven Crafts for their continued support.
