TUESDAY 28TH JUNE 2022
The Team was deployed for much of the day in the Helmsley area supporting North Yorkshire Police in a search for a woman missing from the town. When we stood-down in the evening she had not been found and the Police were continuing with their enquiries.
Following a recent trend of joint-working with other Teams we were joined by 14 colleagues from Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team – good to work with them again.
Nineteen Cleveland MRT members were involved for just under 11.5-hours including travelling time.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
