SUNDAY 19TH JUNE 2022 (1533 HOURS)
This was our second call-out of the day. Whilst we were still extracting the casualty from the first call-out we received another call (from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service) – a report of an injured mountain biker near to Commondale. With most of our resources at the first call-out we deployed the closest available members to the second one and put in a call to our colleagues at Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team to see if they could assist us if necessary. However, very quickly YAS advised us that we were no longer required – so our first two members (who had by then arrived) simply assisted with getting the casualty into the ambulance.
Two Cleveland MRT members were deployed for approximately 30-minutes plus return travel time back to their home.

Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
