We’ve put together a short video of last Sunday’s Whalebones Walk which is available on our Facebook page and also our YouTube channel (link to an external site).
If you couldn’t make it this year then please follow us on social media to ensure that you don’t miss out next year – the Whalebones Walk normally takes place in early May.
Later this year we have a provisional date for the ‘4-Tops’ of Saturday 1st October 2022 so please save the date!
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

If you’ve been braving the elements these last few days then you will be ideally placed to enter next year’s Cleveland Survival. Entries are now open for the event which takes place on 29th March 2025.
It could be dry or wet, warm or cold - or all of them on the same day. Who knows? One thing to be certain of, is that it will be a rewarding experience and great fun. If you’ve done the Survival before then it’s time to enter again. If you’re a ‘newbie’ then please consider giving it a go - you won’t be disappointed!

The Survival is open to runners and walkers based on an orienteering course, with a route of around 20 miles, to be completed within the time limit.
