Friday April 28th 1600hrs: Rescue Mallyan Spout Waterfall.
We were again asked to assist Scarborough MRT with a 74 year old walker who was reported collapsed on the paths near the waterfall. Sixteen members of Cleveland MRT responded and were able to assist members of Scarborough Team and the crew of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance locate, treat and evacuate the injured man.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
