Friday 28th April 1300hrs: Search Callout Scarborough.
We were asked to assist in a search by our sister team Scarborough MRT. They were looking for a vulnerable 27 year old lady from Scarborough who had gone missing in the town. During Friday Scarborough MRT were stretched for resources as they were also supporting the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race that was passing through their area. A number of team members were on route to Scarborough, with more planning to join the search during the evening, when the lady was located.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
