Sunday 9th April 2017 13:20 hrs
As we were repacking after incident 20 the call came in about another youngster who had been hurt, this time on Roseberry Topping. A 12 year old girl from Eston had fallen on the steep slope below Roseberry Topping and had hurt her leg.
Ten members of the team responded to this callout and managed to reach the injured girl in out LandRover ambulances. She was treated at the scene by an ambulance paramedic and our team doctor before been carried in the Landrover to Aireyholme Farm where an ambulance was waiting to transport her to James Cook Hospital.
The incident lasted about 90 minutes.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
