Roseberry Topping

Monday 14th September 2020. We were contacted by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service at 2.43 pm with a request to assist them close to Roseberry Topping. A woman had fallen on one of the paths in the woods below the summit and the paramedics needed us to carry her back to their ambulance. Team members made their way to the RV-point below Roseberry Topping and then onto to the scene where she was being treated by paramedics for a potential fracture / dislocation of her right ankle. Upon our arrival we placed her onto a specialist mountain rescue stretcher and then carried her a few hundred metres to the waiting ambulance, for onward transport to James Cook Hospital. We wish her well with her recovery.

17 Team members were involved (and one co-ordinating remotely) for approximately 1.25 hours plus further time in decontaminating the Team Land Rover and equipment back at Base.
