Sunday 19th January 1600hrs.
As we were dealing with the fallen lady in incident 4 a 75 year old Stockton man slipped 20 metres from where we were working and also sustained a leg injury.
We deployed additional equipment and personnel to deal with this gentleman who was on a 10 mile walk around the area with his wife. He was treated at the scene before being flown by air ambulance to James Cook University Hospital fro treatment.
This incident lasted around two hours and involved 20 members of the Team.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
