We were called by North Eastern Ambulance to help with a 25 year old lady from Liverton Mines, near Loftus, who had slipped whilst walking near the Hanging Stone in Guisborough Woods and sustained leg injuries. Nine members of the Team responded to the callout and, along with the ambulance personnel, carried the lady a few hundred metres to a waiting ambulance. The incident lasted about two hours.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
