Roseberry Topping

The Roseberry Topping area continues to be a Callout hotspot for us with so many people rightly enjoying the paths and views around our great local landmark.

The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) contacted us today at 13.12 to assisted them with a 16 year old walker who had injured his ankle.

A group of young students with their tutor were walking east of Roseberry Topping near the col when one of them stumbled and injured his ankle.

A team Land Rover transported a NEAS paramedic to the scene where the group were doing a fine job of supporting him and helped him hobble in the direction of the main path down to the local farm. The injured person was transported back down the hill and transferred over to the waiting Ambulance.

Once again many thanks to Aireyholme farm for hosting our RV point and the location of the Ambulance handover.

8 volunteers team members and our two Land Rovers attended the scene and the incident lasted around 40 mins.
